Municipal Court

The Municipal Court strives to provide professional court proceedings which follow all applicable laws and ensure the rights of all persons are observed.

Municipal Court is responsible for the judicial enforcement of all Class “C” misdemeanor laws including traffic cases, state, and regulatory ordinance violation cases which occur within the city’s area of jurisdiction.

Municipal Court fines are payable by cashier check or money order (personal checks are not accepted) by mailing to The City of Del Rio, Municipal Court, 109 W. Broadway, Del Rio, Texas 78840. To pay citations in person, visit Municipal Court in City Hall at 109 W. Broadway.

Court Sessions are as follows:

  • All regular hearings are held every Wednesday beginning at 9:00 am & 1:30 pm
  • Pre-Trials Hearings are held the last Wednesday of the month at 1:30 pm
  • Trials are held the last Friday of the month at 9:00 am

All sessions of the Municipal Court are open to the public. Use of a statewide computer system gives Court personnel access to a wide variety of information about outstanding fines owed to a Court, and records pertaining to suspension of driving privileges.
