Upcoming Utility Bills
DEL RIO, Texas – The City of Del Rio will be issuing split utility bills for the months of September and October in order to complete the recovery transition within our Utility Billing Department from the cyber security attack that occurred in January.
The total number of utility bills for each customer for the year will remain at 12. Service dates will not overlap in the split utility bills. Customers can verify the service dates on their utility bills. Customers can also check their meter to verify the current reading is correct. A customer’s meter should read the same (or above) number that is recorded on the utility bill.
The split utility bills will have usage consumption fees, such as water and gas, cut in half. Other fees, such as sewer, franchise, and trash will remain in full. Please see the sample utility bills and chart below for details.
We thank you for being patient with us as we continue to recover from the cyber security attack. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your utility bill, please do not hesitate to contact the Utility Billing Department at 830-774-8550 or online at www.cityofdelrio.com/ubform
