WIC Office Earns an Outstanding Ninety-Six Percent Customer Satisfaction Rating

DEL RIO, Texas –   The City of Del Rio WIC office recently achieved an outstanding ninety-six percent customer service satisfaction rating.  WIC offers breastfeeding and nutrition counseling, as well as access to health services that are provided to low-income women, infants, and children under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, popularly known as WIC.

The WIC office received a total of 6.7 points out of 7 on their customer satisfaction rating report. The rating was determined by a monthly report through the Texas WIC state department. The rating is composed of the customers’ satisfaction with wait times, customer service, and overall experience. Since March 2019, WIC consistently scored an above ninety percent rating average in customer service satisfaction.

WIC Director, Luz Covarrubias, accredits this achievement to the WIC staff. “We are not a team because we work together. We are a team because we respect, trust, and care for each other,” said Covarrubias. This achievement from the WIC office is a great example of the recent city-wide customer service initiative led by City Manager, Matt Wojnowski. "The excellent customer service rating of the WIC department demonstrates the values of progress, customer service, and team work we are emphasizing throughout all city departments. I applaud their efforts to raise the standards and expectations to those we serve."

The City of Del Rio would like to congratulate Covarrubias and the WIC team on achieving a ninety-six percent score in customer satisfaction. This rating validates all the efforts that WIC has implemented in delivering an exceptional customer service experience with clients.

You can also call the WIC office at 830-774-8609 for more information. WIC office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
