The City of Del Rio has officially issued a Local State of Disaster Declaration following the significant rainfall and flooding that has impacted the community. The declaration was signed on July 16, 2026, and takes effect immediately.
The declaration activates the City's Emergency Management Plan and provides the legal authority necessary to continue utilizing all available local, state, and mutual aid resources to protect lives and property while supporting response and recovery efforts.
City departments remain fully operational and continue working alongside local, state, and community partners to monitor conditions, respond to incidents, and assist residents impacted by the flooding.
