The Neighborhood Services Department works in partnership with the community to promote health and safety by providing health related services for the citizens of Del Rio.

Yard and Lot Maintenance
Yard and lot maintenance is important to the health, safety, and welfare of our residents and plays an important role in maintaining a quality neighborhood appearance. City regulations prohibit:
- Any untended growth of grass or weeds in excess of 12 inches in height.
- Accumulations of trash, junk and debris.
- Vegetation or trees that impair a motorist or pedestrian’s field of vision at intersections.
- City residents are offered brush, yard rubbish and bulky waste collection once a month, per household. For more information call (830) 774-7250.
Junked or Abandoned Vehicles
All vehicles are required to be currently licensed and fully operable if they are parked within public view. Vehicles that don’t run must be parked in a fully enclosed building or be covered with a proper fitting car cover (maximum one). Dismantled vehicles stored outside of an enclosed structure are also prohibited.
